Sharon Claffey Kaliouby with State Street Global Advisors

As Head of Product Education Sharon builds institutional and individual capabilities as related to products, asset classes and investment themes aligned with SSGA targeting distribution channels. She will design curriculum to increase the effectiveness of distribution and investment management professionals in delivering key products and solutions to clients, consultants and prospects.

Previously, Sharon was the Head of Sales Academy Learning Partners for Thomson Reuters. In her role, she ensured consistent learning and sales enablement delivery globally, she worked with her Learning Partners in Europe as well as Asia as they are the regional advocates and supporters of learning activities; together they worked closely to build and refine Thomson Reuters induction programs, role-based learning and development curricula.

In the past, Sharon ran market strategy for Intellum, a private LMS and collaboration software provider, after having served as technical advisor for a firm developing an eLearning suite of governance and security modules. Previously, she served as SVP for Enterprise Ireland in an international sales role that helped Irish companies with their learning solutions and through which she launched the Irish Learning Alliance. With Thomson, she held varied roles designing and developing eLearning for specific needs and user populations, including a customized learning solution to increase sales force effectiveness. She is certified in multiple instructor-­led training programs and has presented or facilitated discussions on Learning topics at global industry conferences.

In 2007 Sharon received an ‘Executive Certificate in Innovation and Strategy’ from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Sharon was also a two­-time member of the USFA National gold medal women’s sabre fencing team.
