John A. Rogener is President of the New York City chapter of the Association for Talent Development, formerly known as ASTD. He has over 25 years of progressive and diverse global experience in training, leadership and management development, sales and organizational effectiveness, change management, coaching and facilitating teams in the financial and professional services sectors.

John is also currently Vice President of Learning and Development for BNY Mellon University, at BNY Mellon. John has advised and coached executives on learning, talent development and organizational effectiveness interventions that supported business strategy and developed future leaders. He has provided strategic direction for management and leadership development that included researching current models, best practices, competencies and assessments to build talent pools that guide businesses towards sustained growth. He has also led large scale organizational change initiatives which included assessing leadership needs essential to supporting change, and he has coached executives on managing and sustaining change.

John was an adjunct professor for 14 years at New York University (NYU) in Human Resources and Learning and Development, and he received NYU’s Award for Teaching Excellence. He also co-authored “Address Learning Needs, Not Wants” with his supervisor David DeFilippo, which was published in Chief Learning Officer magazine. John holds a B.A. in English and a Master’s and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Rehabilitation Counseling. He is certified in Myers Briggs and DiSC assessment tools, and is completing his Executive Coaching certificate at New York University.

PAREXEL is a global clinical research and regulatory consulting and outsourcing company with the headquarters located in Waltham, Massachusetts, with more than 70 offices distributed over 50 countries.

Dr. Albert Siu is Vice President and General Manager of the PAREXEL Academy, a unit of Human Resources that manages the Learning and Leadership Development function for PAREXEL. This organization serves internal and external clients of PAREXEL.

In this current role, Dr. Siu manages the learning and development functions within PAREXEL including leadership and organizational development, learning technology applications, all functional training and the PAREXEL Academic Institute, an externally focused clinical and regulatory training organization and a degree granting institution offering a bachelor of science degree in Clinical Research Management.

Before joining PAREXEL, he was Vice President for Learning and Development at Boston Scientific, a global life sciences R&D and manufacturing company.

Dr. Siu was the Chief Learning Officer for AT&T from 1996 to 2002. In that role, Dr. Siu managed AT&T’s investments in learning and people development.

Before joining AT&T in 1994, Dr. Siu spent sixteen years with Hewlett-Packard, serving in a variety of business unit and corporate human resources leadership roles; including eight years in China and Hong Kong managing the human resources function for Hewlett-Packard’s China operations.

Dr. Siu earned a bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin and a doctorate from Purdue University, both in counseling psychology. He retired (February, 2012) from serving as a member of the board of directors at Thrivent Financial, having served the full 14 year terms, and currently he is a director at Wittenberg University. He was a director (2009-2012) at the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and had served on ASTD’s Public Policy Council and the Awards Strategy Committee. In 2013, Dr. Siu was awarded the “Distinguished Alumni Award” from Purdue University. He is currently residing with his family in the Boston area.

Melissa Milani is the Associate Director for the Learning Content Design & Development Team within PAREXEL Academy. This team consists of 3 managers and 13 instructional designers located in the US, Argentina and Germany. Their goal is to apply adult learning principles to design and develop best in class learning to maximize employee performance and achieve outstanding business results. They do this by working effectively within the PAREXEL Academy structure and designing learning that will not only achieve business results but engage the learner!

Prior to coming to PAREXEL, Melissa worked within the L&D department of Unum and previous to that, she was with Datex International supporting learning for their sales team. Before moving into Learning & Development Melissa began her professional career teaching communication at several Midwestern Colleges, including North Dakota State University, Concordia College, Minnesota State Moorhead, and The University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, and a master’s degree from North Dakota State University, both in communication. Melissa currently resides with her family in Nashua, NH.

Candice is the co-founder and co-CEO of The Fullbridge Program, a revolutionary business boot camp for high-performing college and graduate students worldwide, giving them the skills to make a significant contribution to the workplace on day one.

Prior to founding The Fullbridge Program, in addition to holding new business positions at Time Warner and American Express, Candice was the co-founder and chief executive of iVillage.com, which was a pioneer in online social networks for parenting, health, and other topics of interest to busy women. She led the company from 1994 until 2001 and was one of the first women in the U.S. to lead an IPO. NBC purchased iVillage.com in 2006 for $600 million.

In recognition of Candice’s business contributions, she received an Emmy Award for prime-time documentary television programming; the Matrix Award; and the MIT Institute Award for Entrepreneurial Leadership. She was voted to the Saatchi and Saatchi Board in 2000. She received a B.A. from Stanford University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Masters in History/Theology from Union and in Education from Columbia University.

She is a founding Board member of the Brooklyn Prospect Charter School, which seeks to offer high level IB college preparatory education to a student population broadly reflective of Brooklyn neighborhoods. She was a NOLS/Outward Bound instructor and an accomplished rock climber for 7 years. Her first book, Chapters: Create a Life of Exhilaration and Accomplishment in the Face of Change, was published in September 2001. Candice is married to her soul mate and has seven children. She spends her free time mountain biking and snowboarding.

David is the Founder of The Hofstetter Group Manager as well as the Manager, Learning and Development for New England Organ Bank. David was hired to build the learning and development and grow the performance management function. Prior to these two organizations he owned another performance consulting company. David has completed projects for some Fortune 1000 and 500 companies, such as Monster.com, Gillette, Citizens Bank, Fleet Bank, State Street Bank and many others. Some of the projects David has completed included designing and facilitating sales courses, customer service programs and training engineers and machine operators on a major consumer goods product launch. I also designed and delivered many system implementations.

Prior to that, David worked for Tufts Health Plans, a health care company in the Boston area where he built a training department for one of the health care products when they were a start up.

David completed his Masters at Capella University in Organizational Psychology. His undergrad was completed at Northeastern University in Boston with a BS in Business Administration. David also a certificate from Boston University in Training and Development and is certified in MBTI (Myers Briggs). David is the current President of the Central Massachusetts ATD, formally ASTD, and a member of ATD National. He is also completing his Coaching Certification through IPEC Coaching.
