DeShaun Wise/Kimberly Clark

DeShaun is Senior Talent Management Consultant with Kimberly Clark. DeShaun is an experienced professional with over 10 years of experience in learning & development, project/change management and driving performance initiatives. Currently, the majority of her time is spent focusing on global projects and initiatives within her three regions, Latin America, Middle East/Africa and Asia-Pacific that ranges from onboarding or transformation agendas. Her passion lies in the design and strategic implementation of programs that accelerate the growth of their employees so they are positioned to deliver superior results year over year. In addition to her fulfilling professional career, Ms. Wise serves of the Board of Directors for the Pink Wish Foundation, is Chair of the Professional Development Committee for the African-American Employee Network, as well as, an active member in her community.

Ms. Wise is a graduate of Florida State University where she earned a dual-degree in Finance and Multinational Business Operations with an emphasis in Economics and continued on to receive a certification in both, Global Human Capital Strategy and Professional in Human Resources.

Florida Starks/Verizon Wireless

Florida Starks is currently an Area Training Manager in charge of Business-Government Customer Operations and Vendor operations with Verizon Wireless. From 1993-2000, Starks worked with Ameritech Cellular where she was an Assistant Manager of Business and Learning Development and held a variety of sales and service leadership roles. Prior to joining Verizon, she was a Regional Account Manager and Trainer at Bencharge Financial.

Starks earned her BA in Human Resource Management from Lindenwood University. In 2010, she earned her Master’s in Adult Education Management from Strayer University. She will graduate from Capella University in March 2013 with a PhD in Leadership for Higher Education.

Florida is Director of SIGs/GIGs for ASTD Atlanta.

Chrissy Derrer/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Chrissy has an SPHR certification and a Master’s in organizational leadership and development. She is currently the Manager of design for management and leadership development programs at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She has a history of cultivating environments of continuous learning & improvement with proven HR & OD expertise in the areas of recruitment and selection, policy development, technical training, change management, operational efficiency, performance management, & leadership and management development. Chrissy has a passion for excellence, which is reflected in her initiatives to improve people, systems and processes. She has worked on varied projects that span research and analysis, project management, systems testing and implementation, business process reengineering, grant writing, and building community and collaboration. With ASTD, Chrissy is the chair for the NE GA GIG and has been involved with that GIG since its inception a little over 5 years ago.

Eric Langley/Abeo

Eric is a lifelong entrepreneur. He recently founded Abeo, a software platform leveraging predictive modeling to help business managers make better informed people decisions. Abeo’s clients are people and organizations that value improving productivity and reducing stress in the workplace.

Eric’s background is in diverse technology based solutions including; security, entertainment, automation and business processes In his spare time Eric enjoys sailing, sailboat racing, hiking, motorcycle riding and diving. Eric attended Merrimack College in Massachusetts studying Computer Science and Psychology.

Eric is a SIG Leader with ASTD Atlanta.
